An independent opinionTHOUGHT FOR THE DAYBy Prateek Kumar, INDIA

The engineer and the artist.

One creator holds a drafting compass and paintbrush, joining a vast crowd and a few art viewers beneath a red infinity stroke.

An engineer is an alter ego of an artist. Both are creative humans and the difference is in their creations. Engineer’s creation is objective whereas artist creation is subjective.

Engineers impacts masses whereas artists impacts special but limited audience. You can argue that movies and music is different but the tools for mass production and distribution of these two art form are created by engineers.

Engineers creations are valued above zero and below infinitely. Value of artists work is in extremes. It’s either zero or infinite.(Take painting sfor example. For some they mean the world for other, just a piece of paper)

What I want to see is the work of this super human, who is both an engineer and an artist. I want to see a work which is created for masses and valued at infinity.
